What do most business owners and entrepreneurs have in common? They have too much to do and not enough time. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your time.
- At the start of each week, try to project any problems that might arise and come up with a contingency plan.
- Each morning, determine what tasks you absolutely must complete that day and focus on getting these done.
- Realize that you are in control of your schedule and don’t let other people get you off track.
- Plan ahead. Try to combine some tasks and group similar activities together – those things that could be accomplished efficiently as a group.
- It’s important to remember to take breaks. You’ll accomplish more if you’re mentally refreshed. Take a walk, stand up and take a stretch break. Try moving away from your desk, computer, and phone and let your mind just relax and wander for 5 minutes. You’ll be surprised at your renewed energy.
- Finally, the hardest thing to do – learn how to say no. You have to realize that sometimes you just can’t do it all.
